Systems software
System software refers to computer software that is intended to operate the computer hardware to offer essential functionality as well as to offer a platform for running application software. Its function is to divest the application software programmer from the frequently multifaceted details of the specific computer being used. It includes such accessories as communications devices, device readers, displays and keyboards. It also partitions the computer's resources, for example memory and processor time in a stable and safe manner.
Application software
An Application Software has several such as applying the power of a particular computing platform or system software to a certain purpose. It also manages and integrates a computer's capabilities, but does not directly apply in the performance of tasks that benefit the user. It also serves the application, which in turn serves the user.

Software utilities software is a type of computer system software also referred to as service program, tool, service routine, or utility routine. Software Utilities are designed to help the user manage and tune the computer hardware/Software, Operating system or application software. Utility software can be seen in many operating systems to day e.g. Windows XP, Windows Vista etc.
